Our story

"It all started with a kiss"

Originally "DeVinci's Deli & Catering, owned by Mike, this Tracy location was one of 8 stores in the San Joaquin Valley owned with his family. Claudia owned wholesale bakery business, plus she represented many artesian food products selling them to grocery stores across the US. Claudia needed to rent a certified kitchen to continue selling her baked goods to other cafe's, coffee shops and hotels. When inquiring if a friend new of such place available she said "you and Mike Trotter of DeVinci's would be two peas in a pod."

And the rest they say is history.....

Claudia and Mike met one August morning in his restaurant and where immediately sharing dreams they had of the future as individuals discovering the dream of owning a full service restaurant serving breakfast and lunch on the forefront. That is the day Town & Country Café was created. The first menu in 2012 was formed at Duarte's Tavern in Pescadero over a piece of pie and coffee.

Married in 2018, you will see their wedding day photo hanging on the wall by the bar with all their kids and Mike's Grandkids.

When you dine at T&C Café, you will see their passion for creating a family friendly environment with real food made with love in every aspect of the restaurant.

"Family is always first, and serving our guests they become a part of the T&C Family"

Much love and gratitude....Mike & Claudia Trotter
